Hello, I set up the company in March 2020 as I noticed an opportunity to provide a world class full service marketing consultancy for individuals and organisations from Newry City. I have recruited the current team and will be adding specialist/ experience as we grow.
From an early age I knew I wanted to work with brands. My family have been involved in the drinks trade for over 100 years. The name Silverwood comes from a townland just outside Lurgan, Co. Armagh where my Grandparents set up home in the 1940s. They had 11 children and many of whom have been involved in growing businesses and brands.
After graduating in 1999, with a Communication, Advertising and Marketing degree from the University of Ulster, Jordanstown, I worked in Cadbury’s based in London. These seven years have strongly influenced my values and business ethos. Cadbury were market leaders and acted as such. They truly valued their staff, customers, suppliers and local community. They were the ultimate brand builders.
In 2006, I moved to Newry to become Marketing Director of a leading car accident management firm. In addition, I have led and managed highly successful campaigns for a group of companies.
As we enter a new decade, I felt it was time to set up my own venture. It will allow me to mix my four main interests family, business, sport and charity. In particular causes that help young people, those that help people at times of great need and those that help unite communities.
Head of Operations
Hi, I am responsible for the delivery of services. Working closely with our clients to deliver real results. Since graduating with a Business Studies degree from Ulster University in 2007, I have worked in a number of marketing, event management and communications roles. I have worked with organisations including Queens University Belfast, Atmosphere Events, Southern Area Hospice Services and Around Noon where I gained significant experience across a range of industries.
In these positions, I have managed projects both at home and abroad including organising overseas charity treks, conferences, gala balls and even an event with President Bill Clinton at Queens University Belfast.
Having worked in both the corporate and charity sector, I am budget savvy and understand the importance of return on investment and seeing results. I enjoy helping charities and after working for my local hospice for 6 years, I understand the challenges faced in this sector. I have an eye for detail and believe in going that step further to help clients achieve their goals and objectives. My work ethic has always been to 'explore, create and inspire'.
In my spare time I love getting outdoors and enjoy walking the Mournes, travelling and watching a range of sports including GAA, Soccer and Rugby. I am also a massive fan of supporting and celebrating local talent in business, sport, music and entertainment. As the Covid-19 pandemic has showed us, we are all better people when we support each other and can achieve so much more when we work together.
Hi there, I work with Silverwood Smart Marketing on a number of their initiatives from personal development/ education programmes, events and marketing strategy projects.
I have over twenty years’ experience in Marketing, Income Generation and Business Development. I have worked at a Senior level in the Private and Charitable Sectors. Most notably as Fundraising Manager at the Southern Area Hospice Services. A position I held until March 2020 which had an annual income generation budget of £3million.
After graduating with a Combined Humanities Degree from UUJ, I achieved a Diploma in Community Development from NUI Galway. A firm believer in Lifelong Learning, I recently completed a Post Graduate Level 7 Extended Diploma in Strategic Management and Strategic Leadership at the Southern Regional College, winning the BT Excellence in Blended Learning Student of the Year Award.
I hold Fellow memberships of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI) and the Institute of Leadership and Management (FInstLM) and am a member of the Institute of Fundraising (MInstF).
I enjoy a range of sports. I have won several NI and All - Ireland Netball Medals and am proud to have played for the NI Netball Team. I have played Camogie for my Club, County and University. Off the field I have held various positions in Club Administration Committees. However, my biggest sporting challenge has been living in a home with 2 children who are mad Liverpool supporters and a husband who supports Tottenham Hotspur!

Hi, I’m currently on my placement year with Silverwood Smart Marketing. I’m a Communication, Advertising and Marketing degree student at Ulster University. I attended St. Ronan’s College in Lurgan and was Head Girl during my A level year. This was a great experience, meeting various groups and helping lead the student body.
I am passionate about charities and have a number of fundraising events for various causes. In particular, the Cancer Fund for Children based in Newcastle, which means a lot to me.
I have varied marketing experience and work across some of our specialist divisions including social media, events and PR. I have an adaptable approach to helping clients meet their objectives. In addition, I am noted for my attention to detail which comes by thorough planning.
I am also a keen Ladies Gaelic footballer and am currently the captain of my local club.
